International Service

Collaborative Projects  & Grants

Our Daybreakers Club maintains an International Service Committee as an ongoing element of our service programs. Each year we sponsor one or more international projects, in addition to collaborating with other local clubs in support of the international projects they initiate.

During the Rotary Year 2021/22 in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Maechan, Thailand we funded an essential upgrading of the Doi Luang hospital. Located in a remote region in the far north of Thailand, this hospital is the only one available to serve the 20,000 residents of 133 surrounding villages.

Also, during the 2021/22 year we funded a project to provide 80 kids in four separate care facilities with pajamas and bedding to keep them warm during the cold winter season.

In addition, we were able to partner with an Australian Club to participate in their Global Grant to provide 50 deep drill fresh water wells for five villages in a remote area in the Siem Reap province of Cambodia. Now, 1,000 families will no longer have to walk hours to get water during their dry season.
