Rotary’s Response to
the Disaster in Haiti
Rotary clubs and districts worldwide are mobilizing
resources to deliver urgently needed relief to the millions affected by Haiti's
devastating earthquake. Watching the ongoing earthquake coverage has been heart
wrenching and the needs of the Haitian survivors appear overwhelming. A huge
response has come from Rotarians everywhere.
There has been an outpouring of monetary donations to the
Rotary Donor Advised Fund (DAF) and the District 7020 Haiti
earthquake fund as well as shipments of emergency supplies. Rotarians from the
Haitian clubs are on the ground assisting with the immediate relief efforts. It
touches me greatly to hear about the quick response of Rotarians, who stand
always ready to help those in need, regardless of what we may get in return.
I wanted to provide you with some useful weblinks on
Rotary’s response to the earthquake in Haiti
along with an article at the end of this email that my boss has written for her
district’s newsletter.
